MICAH 7
CALL TO WORSHIP
You, O LORD Most High, are awesome, the great King over all the earth!
You are the King over all the earth and we will sing your praise.
You are the maker of heaven and earth, majesty and honour surround you.
You are the King over all the earth and we will sing your praise.
You reign over the nations; you are seated on your holy throne.
You are the King over all the earth and we will sing your praise.
(Based on Psalm 47 & 96)

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
We've already heard that God is king over all the earth, We've sung that Jesus is the lord of all, and yet so often our hearts wander and desire to bow down to other masters. Instead of putting our trust in Jesus we seek the security of the false comforts and pleasures of this world. We don't give Jesus lordship over our lives, instead we let other things rule us and make them our priority. God encourages us in his word to acknowledge our sin before him so why don't you take a moment to do that now, to confess to God where you see this tendency in your own heart...
Father God, forgive us for not making you our priority, for treasuring so many things above treasuring Jesus and his gospel. Help us to give Jesus lordship over our lives. Help us to confess our sin to you and put our trust in Jesus' death and resurrection. Amen.
Jesus' death and resurrection mean we can know forgiveness for our sin. Yet we still live in a broken world. This next song asks for God to be our hope in the midst of this broken world. Let's sing out together now.

PREACHING OF THE WORD
This Sunday we finished our sermon series in the book of Micah and John McPhilimey preached from God’s word from Micah 7. Click here to listen to that sermon and the rest in the series.
COMMUNION
Every week we want to respond to what God has done for us in Jesus. One of the great ways he has provided for us to remember the truth of the gospel is giving us communion. As we take the bread and wine we remember what Jesus has done for us.
POST COMMUNION READING
Jesus’ death brings us life and this meal reminds us that we are fed by Jesus and forgiven because of Jesus.
We rejoice that You have died, rose again, and are now with the Father advocating for us. Amen.
With our money, time, and talent we give generously, knowing that through Your Son, Jesus, You have generously given to us.
We rejoice that You have given everything and we joyfully give everything back to Your care. Amen.
Song: Nothing but the Blood
Song: Here is Love
COMMITMENT READING
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and hurl them into the depths of the ocean! You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love
(based on Micah 7:18-19)
