Prepare (June 26, 2016)

This blog gives you a glimpse into the upcoming Sunday Gathering. It's an opportunity to read through the passage we'll be studying together, pray through some of the liturgy we'll be using, and listen to a selection of the songs we’ll be singing.

Romans 8:1-4

SERMON

KJ Pugh from Crowded House Boroughbridge will be joining us this Sunday and preaching on Romans 8:1-4. We're really looking forward to him sharing with us and hearing from a different gospel context.

LITURGY

COMMITMENT READING

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.(Romans 8:1-2)

The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us, we are free from the power of sin and we will be raised to new life in Christ.

MUSIC

  • Come Praise and Glorify Our God (Sovereign Grace Music): A call to praise and glorify the God who has shown his grace to us in Christ.

  • In Christ Alone (Keith Getty): A glorious reminder that it is only in Christ that our hope can be found. In him our sin has been taken away, we are free from the grip of death and we stand secure.
