'Making Faith Magnetic' Day Conference

3 October 2026, City Evangelical Church, LS11 8SX

Join us for a day with Dr. Daniel Strange, author of Making Faith Magnetic and Plugged In, exploring how we can talk about Jesus in a way that connects with the people around us.

Dan will introduce a simple but powerful idea: that every person, whatever they believe, has certain deep longings built into them - things like the search for meaning, security or belonging. These aren't distractions from the gospel; they're places where the gospel actually speaks most powerfully. Understanding them can help us have better conversations about faith with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.

We'll look at how this shows up here in Leeds, and what it means for how we live out our faith, share it with others, and build genuine community - as individuals and as churches.

Dan is a well-known voice in helping Christians understand and engage with today's culture. He's part of the leadership team at his church in Gateshead, and works with the Keller Institute and The London Project.

You'll need to bring your own lunch. Donations will be taken on the door (suggested £5).

Sunday AM at Redeemer: Ten Ways Ephesians Changed the World

18 October 2026, 10.30am-12pm
Bloodworth Hall, St Michael's Parish Church, Headingley, LS6 3AW

What has a letter written in a Roman prison in AD 62 got to do with Gothic architecture, the Protestant Reformation, the abolition of infanticide, and post-genocide Rwanda? More than you might think.

From the autumn, Redeemer will host occasional Sunday AM slots - and this is the first. To go alongside our teaching series in Ephesians, we'll explore ten surprising ways Paul's Letter to the Ephesians has shaped Western history - for better, and occasionally for worse. This event is free, and pastries and refreshments are provided.
