Prepare (October 28, 2018)

This blog gives you a glimpse into the upcoming Sunday Gathering. It's an opportunity to read through the passage we'll be studying together, pray through some of the liturgy we'll be using, and listen to a selection of the songs we’ll be singing.

ROMANS - Principles of the gospel

SERMON

This Sunday we’ll be starting our new sermon series in the book of Romans. Gary will be preaching the first sermon in this series for us from Romans 1:1-7 looking at the principles of the gospel.

LITURGY

COMMITMENT READING

Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions.

God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

It is by his grace we have been saved. This is not our own doing; it is the gift of God!

(Based on Ephesians 2:4-9)

MUSIC

  • Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone): A song of amazement and wonder at the grace that is our in Christ!

  • Jesus (Citizens): A song of praise and worship of our saviour Jesus, who is the name above every other name.
