Welcome to the Sunday Gathering recap (songs, hymns, liturgy and sermon). This blog gives you an opportunity to reflect on what you heard in the gathering or catch up if you weren’t able to be with us.

REDEEMER VISION - A Call to Prayer
CALL TO WORSHIP
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
Great is your faithfulness.
The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
Great is your faithfulness.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE
We've already heard and sung of God's unfailing and unchanging character, and yet we are quick to forget this. Quick to forget the faithfulness he's shown us and quick to doubt God and his character.
As Christians we have the privilege of speaking to God in prayer, bringing our concerns and requests before him. Yet so often we neglect this. We fail to believe he really has the power to act in this world and so we don't bring our requests to him. Take a moment to reflect on that now, to confess to God this tendency in your own heart.
Because of Jesus' death and resurrection, we can have a relationship with God, despite our sin and our failings. Jesus intercedes on our behalf and we can have a confidence that he hears our prayers. Not only that, but we can know Jesus walking with us in our doubt and uncertainty.

PASSING OF THE PEACE
PREACHING OF THE WORD
Gary preached a final sermon in our vision series looking at faith, unbelief and prayer from Mark 9:14-29. To listen to that sermon click here.

COMMUNION
Every week we want to respond to what God has done for us in Jesus. One of the great ways he has provided for us to remember the truth of the gospel is giving us communion. As we take the bread and wine we remember what Jesus has done for us.
POST COMMUNION READING
Jesus’ death brings us life and this meal reminds us that we are fed by Jesus and forgiven because of Jesus.
We rejoice that You have died, rose again, and are now with the Father advocating for us. Amen.
With our money, time, and talent we give generously, knowing that through Your Son, Jesus, You have generously given to us.
We rejoice that You have given everything and we joyfully give everything back to Your care. Amen.

COMMITMENT READING
Father God, empower us with your Holy Spirit that we may say: We believe; help our unbelief!
Help us to approach your throne of grace with boldness and confidence, trusting that you have the power to meet our deepest needs in Jesus. Amen.

BENEDICTION
Rejoice in the Lord always. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Peace be with you.
And also with you.
